Meir 'A' win at Alsager - Tuesday 15th. December

We went to Alsager with a slightly depleted team as neither Peter nor Dave F. were available. Poor Bob P. had to help us out and play Neville Jones graded 41 points higher. Bob did really well and at the end was unlucky not to come away with a draw'

Clive won fairly early on (21:30) defending against the dreaded 'Yugoslav Attack' variation of the Sicilian. Steve took an early draw against a higher graded opponent which left Tom to sweat it out and win in order to cement a great night for the team winning 2.5 versus 1.5!
